Inspiration Behind the Spring Collection
Spring dressing is officially in full swing! With sage trenches, marigold jumpsuits, cloud blue dresses, and candy orange blazers, this season is all about bright colors and bold silhouettes. Creative Director Ramy Sharp and Design Director, Ines Huh share their inspiration behind Ramy Brook's vibrant Spring 2020 Collection below.
"The Spring collection was influenced by my day to day life: where and how will I be wearing these pieces? I needed styles that could take me from the office to dinner, a birthday party, Sunday brunch, etc. I also love color, especially in the Spring. With this collection, we really wanted to create bold and bright pieces that are wearable for our woman's busy lifestyle." - Ramy Sharp, CEO and Creative Director

"The Talisman" Paul Serusier, 1888.
"When Will You Marry?" Paul Gaugin, 1892.
"[The color palette of] Spring '20 is inspired by colors from impressionist paintings by Paul Serusier and Gaugin from my travels in France. We wanted to portray the deep, warm, vibrant colors from the paintings in our solids and colors in all of our prints." - Ines Huh, Design Director

"[The influence of] utilitarian dressing and denim are important for Spring. For the Ramy Brook girl, utilitarian dressing is interpreted in a sexy and drapey way with a sheen, as seen in our trenches and camo chainmail group." - Ines

"The response to denim has been great, so we really wanted to expand our silhouettes and colors in that category. We continued to make our best-selling High-Rise Cindys in a beautiful Marigold. We also added one of my new favorite new styles, called the Tyra." - Ramy
