Wedding Guest 101: Ramy's 7 Tips
Boat wedding? No problem. Ramy in our Roman Maxi Dress.
Is it just us, or does it seem like there are more weddings than EVER this summer? Maybe couples postponed their date because of the pandemic or love is simply just in the air - whatever the reason, we're not complaining! Not only do weddings give us the ultimate reason to dress up, but it's also a fun excuse to enjoy a night out, celebrate life and catch up with friends and family.
Whether you're a wedding guest rookie or an "I do" expert, it's always important to have a little best-guest refresh. We asked Ramy for her tips on how to be the ultimate wedding guest this summer below.
"I love any reason to dress up and celebrate love! Nail down wedding season in style with my tips to being the best guest this summer. xoxo, Ramy"
RSVP on time
So much work goes into wedding planning - no one wants to be the guest who makes everyone scramble last-minute! Vendors require a final headcount a few weeks ahead of the date - so be sure to RSVP by the date.
Send a gift from their registry
Couples select items on a registry because they actually plan on using them! To make a gift seem more personal, buy it early so there's more of a selection to choose from.
Bring the essentials
I always bring my favorite Laura Mercier lip gloss, some face powder and gum in my clutch. If you're a crier, tissues are a must!
Don't wear white
This goes without saying ... let the bride shine! However, if you are the bride, I'm loving this Sonny Maxi Dress for any of your bridal events.
Follow the dress code
From cocktail to formal attire, you really can't go wrong with one of our bright solid or printed midi dresses. For a black tie wedding, a metallic floor length dress (like our Rowan Dress) is perfect. For tropical destination weddings, anything in our Wild Rose print is perfect.
Be cool with your phone
I love to Instagram story as much as the next person - but it's important to be polite and stay present in the moment! Follow the crowd's lead on this one.
Weddings are an amazing time to meet new people, network and make connections! Mingle with people you haven't met before - you never know where it could lead.
